Hi,
I really hope that Desiree can continue posting on this blog and hang around with us. To me, she will always be one part of us. Nobody seems to be upset/appalled/disturbed by the fact that Desiree's leaving us forever, except for Jia Xing and maybe the people from 107. I guess it hits me most and it has left me being aghast. This incident also left me thinking about how bonded we really are. We are not one platoon. We are one platoon made up of several cliques. This was what I had always wanted to say and what I believe some people in our platoon have always wanted to say. It has been bothering me right from the start and now, I am finally letting it out. Maybe you have not noticed, but you guys make minimal attempts to include everyone in your discussion. Yes, you may say, why can't we take the initiative to join you? But have you ever noticed our presence? Have you ever realised that we are trying to be part of your group but have always been alienated or ostracised? No, you haven't. You are always talking among yourselves. You have always been tendentious, making our attempts nothing but frivolous. I think this is paramount problem in our platoon and we can't let this go on. Please NOTICE us. Secondly, please do not vent your anger on your platoonmates. Your expressions depict your character and it reflects really badly on you. We have done nothing wrong and thus, we don't deserved to be treated like that. On several ocassions, I have seen some of us saying things to our so-called platoonmates in an irritating, i-wished-you-would-just-disappear voice which is really intidimating. (Eg. Can you stop.........?) I wish everyone can note the tone and language that you use because it is really hurtful. It saddens me even more, when I see that these people only say such hurtful stuff to a particular person/group of people. I am not pinpointing anyone, but I just hope that everyone in the platoon can be aware of these eminent problems which are rampant in our platoon, since we won't have a platoon talk so soon anyway.
